NuaLight products are submitted for approval to the highest international safety standards. All products are tested by independent laboratories to ensure conformance to both CE and UL.
NuaLight products are CE Listed.
Declaration of CE Conformity:
This equipment complies with the EMC directive 89/336/EC.
Conformity was demonstrated by the following standards.
- EN55015:2000 + A1:2001 to EN55015: 2000+ A2:2002 to EN55015:
2000
- EN61547:1998 + A1:2001 to EN61547:1998 + A2:2003 to
EN61547:1995 +A1:2000.
- EN 61000-3-2:2000
- EN 61000-3-3:1995 + A1:2001 to EN 61000-3-3:1995
- Equipment classification: Domestic, Commercial and Light-industrial.
Note:
EN55015 is the standard for lighting products. This standard demands for Emissions testing up to 30Mhz. However to ensure the luminaire can be installed into other pieces of equipment (i.e. Freezers) without effecting their conformity to the EMC directive. The luminaires have been tested to and passed EN55022 which tests for emissions upto 1GHz.

NuaLight products are UL Listed for the USA and Canada.

UL Standard: UL 1598
This Standard applies to luminaires for use in non-hazardous locations and that are intended for installation on branch circuits of 600 V nominal or less between conductors in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I (CEC), CSA C22.1, with the U.S. National Electrical Code (NEC), ANSI/NFPA 70, and with the Mexican National Electrical Code, NOM-001-SEDE.
UL Standard: UL 2108
Applies to low voltage lighting systems and components intended for permanent installation and for use in locations in accordance with the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70, Article 411 and covers:
- Low voltage lighting power units;
- Low-voltage exposed conductor lighting systems and luminaries incorporating exposed conductors; and
- Class 2 low voltage lighting systems.

Other recognised standards with which NuaLight products comply with:
IEC 60598-1
Endurance and Thermal Testing: Sections 12.4.1 & 12.5.1
Normal and Abnormal Operating Conditions
The abnormal operating conditions include creating a short circuit across a LED device and ensuring the remainder of the circuit continues to operate both electrically and thermally. Compliance to this standard ensures that the surface temperatures, of the luminaires, are safe to touch and do not create a flammability hazard to adjacent surfaces. This standard allows the F-Mark symbol to be applied.
IEC 68-2-14
Environmental Test Procedure – Change of Temperature
This standard requires the product to be cycled from -25ºC to +60ºC, transition time 60 minutes, dwell time 60 minutes. Number of cycles 100. The product is verified both electrically and mechanically to its operational specification.
