NuaLight has several patent applications in-process, including direct filings in the USA, in Ireland, and worldwide via the PCT. These are briefly summarised below. It is our intention to continue this activity, for the security of both ourselves and our customers, and to use the proprietary technology to ensure unbeatable specifications. The superb performance of our CryoLED™, JewelLED™, and other proprietary luminaires is the result of our in-house IP and design expertise.

• Temperature-controlled display cases: We have patents pending on various technological advances including the beneficial use of dissipated heat, as well as structural concepts relating to heatsink functionality
  
  
• General illumination concepts: We have developed more effective techniques for combining optical and heat transmitting functions within luminaire structures so as to maximise performance and minimise complexity
  
  
• Mechanical structures: These relate to ergonomic and structural concepts resulting in both performance and aesthetic benefits
  
  
• Fibre coupling: Efficient coupling of LED light into fibres or lightpipes is fundamentally difficult. We have exclusively licensed technical solutions to this problem from our R&D partner the Tyndall institute
