Dr. Liam Kelly, Managing DirectorLiam founded NuaLight Ltd. in 2004. His previous commercial LED activities include the establishment of CorkOpt Ltd. in 1994, to develop and manufacture LED-based luminaires for the machine vision industry. CorkOpt was acquired by USA-based StockerYale Inc. in 2000 and Liam continued as managing director until 2003. He was also a founder-director of Millimetre Wave Technology Ltd., and of Farran Technology Ltd, an imaging and communications systems manufacturer, until its acquisition by the Smiths Group plc in 2005. Liam has a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of California; is former Associate Professor of Microelectronics at University College Cork; a founding director of Optronics-Ireland, and assistant director of the Irish National Microelectronic Research Centre. Paul is a seasoned specialist in international sales & marketing with 15 years experience. He has a proven track record in setting up global sales coverage for accelerated growth companies such as S3, Parthus Technologies and Trintech. An experienced negotiator closing deals in excess of $50m to date globally. Paul's sales acumen is further complimented with detailed knowledge of the marketing dynamics required for developing successful brands and new product introductions to ensure revenue projections are met in a time critical manner. Paul has recently joined Nualight to lead its new phase of growth with the sole focus of accelerating sales and enabling Nualight to take a leadership position in digital lighting for global food retailers. Ray Naughton, Non- Executive Director Ray Naughton is co-founder of 4th Level Ventures, and joined the board of NuaLight as a non-executive director. From 1987 to 1998 Ray was Managing Director of Siemens Nixdorf in Ireland and from 1992 to 1997 he worked internationally on a major entrepreneurial development and culture change programme. Austin Duke, Non-Executive DirectorAustin has held senior positions with a number of successful companies, including General Electric and Arthur Anderson, since his graduation from UCC in 1963, and subsequent award of an MBA from Trinity College Dublin in 1970. Austin joined Enterprise Ireland in 1976 where he was responsible for the commercialization of technology and also ran the patenting service. He was appointed director of Optronics-Ireland in 1996, the Irish national programme in advanced optoelectronic technology. Eamonn Quinn, Non-Executive DirectorAfter two years experience in investment banking, Eamonn joined Superquinn the supermarket chain founded by Senator Feargal Quinn. In various roles including Marketing Director, Eamonn gained a wide experience in managing a fast moving customer business in a competitive market. Eamonn represented the company on many industry bodies including the Paris-based supermarket organisation C.I.E.S. where he chaired the marketing committee and the management development programme; and the U.S.A based Operating Executives Council of the Food Marketing Institute. Since the sale of Superquinn Eamonn has been working on managing the family’s business interests and a portfolio of private investments |
