Our approach to privacy
Protecting the security and privacy of your personal data is important to Nualight. So we have developed a Privacy Policy that covers how we collect, use, disclose, transfer, and safeguard the information that we gather through our website and digital communications. Collection and use of personal information
Personal information is data that can be used to identify or contact a single person.
Through our websites, Nualight will not collect any personal data about you (e.g. your name, address, telephone number or e-mail address), unless you voluntarily choose to provide us with it by completing our contact form.
Nualight does not sell, rent or loan the mailing list of newsletters, or registration details and usage trends, to any outside companies or organisations.
We will comply with the eight data protection principles in the DPA, which say that personal data must be:
(a) Processed fairly and lawfully.
(b) Processed for limited purposes and in an appropriate way.
(c) Adequate, relevant and not excessive for the purpose.
(d) Accurate.
(e) Not kept longer than necessary for the purpose.
(f) Processed in line with individuals’ rights.
(g) Secure.
(h) Not transferred to people or organisations situated in countries without adequate protection.
How we use your personal information
The personal information we collect allows us to keep you up-to-date on Nualight’s latest products, promotions, projects and upcoming events. If you don’t want to be on our mailing list, you can opt out at any time by contact us at privacy@nualight.com.
Occasionally, we may use your personal information to send important non-promotional notices, such as communications about changes to our business terms, conditions, and policies. Because this information is important to your business relationship with Nualight, you may not opt out of receiving these communications.
We may also use personal information for internal purposes such as auditing, data analysis, and research to improve Nualight’s products, services, and customer communications.
If you enter into a competition or promotion, we may use the information you provide to administer those programs.
Cookies and other tracking technologies
Nualight and our analytics provider, use technologies such as cookies, beacons, tags, and scripts, to analyse trends, administer the website, tracking users’ movements around the website, and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. We may receive reports based on the use of these technologies by these companies on an individual and aggregated basis.
Users can control the use of cookies at the individual browser level. If you reject cookies, you may still use our website, but your ability to use some features or areas of our website may be limited.
In some of our email messages, we use a “click-through URL” linked to content on the Nualight website. When customers click one of these URLs, they pass through a separate web server before arriving at the destination page on our website. We track this click-through data to help us determine interest in particular topics and measure the effectiveness of our customer communications. If you prefer not to be tracked in this way, you should not click text or graphic links in the email messages.
Whenever you are contacted by e-mail you will be informed how to opt out of being updated by e-mail in the future.
Pixel tags enable us to send email messages in a format customers can read, and they tell us whether mail has been opened. We may use this information to reduce or eliminate messages sent to customers.
Local Storage Objects (HTML 5)
We use Local Storage Objects (LSOs) such as HTML5 to store content information and preferences, this is shared with Third parties with whom we partner with to provide our email services. Various browsers may offer their own management tools for removing HTML5 LSOs.
The data we collect may be stored and processed outside the European Economic Area (EEA).
By submitting your data on the website, you agree to the storage, where we store your data and processing of your data.
Transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. We will do our best to protect your data but cannot guarantee the security.
Analytics/ log files
As is true of most websites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data.
Nualight utilises information from a mix of analytics providers across our digital channels, namely Google Analytics, Act-on beacon tracking and channel specific social media tracking i.e.: Twitter, LinkedIn, Google Plus and YouTube analytics. Our Data retention through Google analytics is 26 months.
We use this information, to analyse trends, to administer the site, to track users’ movements around the site and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. Please see further information about how we use this data under “Collection and use of non-personal information”.
Social media and widgets
Our website includes social media features, such as the ‘Follow Us’ and ‘Add This’ widgets. These features may collect your IP address, which page you are visiting on our site, and may set a cookie to enable the feature to function properly. Social media features and widgets are either hosted by a third party or hosted directly on our site. Your interactions with these features will be used by Nualight to help us understand and improve our content and services offered through social media channels.
We encourage the safe use and engagement with our social media sites, however please note that the personal information and content you share is visible to other users and can be read, collected, or used by them. You are responsible for the personal information you choose to share or submit in these instances. For example, if you list your name and email address in a forum posting, that information is public. Please take care when using these features as Nualight cannot be held responsible for the consequences of sharing or posting such information, e.g. other users reactions or responses to shared content or opinions.
Disclosure to third parties
At times Nualight may make certain personal information available to strategic partners that work with Nualight to provide products and services, or that help Nualight market to customers eg. in telemarketing campaigns. Personal information will only be shared by Nualight to provide or improve our products, services and advertising; it will not be shared or sold to third parties for their own marketing purposes. We do not share data regularly with third parties, however if we were to, we will ensure they have taken sufficient steps and are also GDPR compliant.
Protection of personal information
Nualight has implemented processes intended to protect user information and maintain security of data whether it is stored by ourselves or a third party. We have attempted to protect Nualight’s servers by locating them areas with security procedures, using firewalls and implementing other generally available security technologies. These safeguards help prevent unauthorised access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the appropriate use of data, but no guarantee can be made that your information and data will be secure from intrusions and unauthorised release to third parties.
When you enter sensitive information we encrypt the transmission of that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL). We follow generally accepted standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. We will inform the Data Protection Authority (in our case the I.C.O.) and users of a breach no later than 72 hours of becoming aware of such an instance.
Children
As a business to business organisation, Nualight does not target its offerings toward, and does not knowingly collect any personal information from users under 13 years of age.
Integrity and retention of personal information
Nualight makes it easy for you to keep your personal information accurate, complete, and up to date. We will retain your personal information for the period necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
Accessing and updating personal information

Collection and use of non-personal information
As is normal with most websites we use analytics tools such as Google analytics. Therefore, when you access our websites, we may automatically (i.e., not via contact form) collect non-personal data (e.g. type of Internet browser and operating system used, domain name of the website from which you came, number of visits, average time spent on the site, pages viewed). We may use this data and share it with our marketing providers to monitor the attractiveness of our websites and improve their performance or content.
Links to other websites
Our site includes links to other websites whose privacy practices may differ from those of Nualight. If you submit personal information to any of those sites, your information is governed by their own privacy policies. We encourage you to carefully read the privacy policy of any website you visit.
Our company-wide commitment to your privacy
If you have any questions or concerns about Nualight’s Privacy Policy or data processing or if you would like to make a complaint about a possible breach of local privacy laws, please email privacy@nualight.com.
Nualight may update its Privacy Policy from time to time. When we change the policy in a material way, a notice will be posted on our website along with the updated Privacy Policy.

If we receive a subject access request for data from you, we will complete this is a timely manner, keeping you up to date with developments as quickly as we can.
